Arsenal have already made two bids in order to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic FC and multiple sources claim that the Gunners are pretty close to wrapping up the transfer.

But last week, Neil Lennon looked completely adamant about getting the right price for Kieran Tierney and as per the latest reports, there has been no change in the manager’s stance.

Speaking about the Tierney saga, Neil Lennon said(as reported by the Metro): ‘I have taken no notice of the headlines, I am well aware of where we are in terms of the situation.

‘I spoke to Kieran in Austria and to be honest I haven’t really seen much of him because he came back early for rehab, so has not been on the training ground as yet.

‘It can be an unsettling period for any player and that is understandable but until a club comes up with any sort of realistic valuation of the player we don’t have to do anything and we won’t.

‘It’s as you were. Kieran is getting on with his rehabilitation and we are getting on with what we have to do here.’

And this week he backed his previous statement by indicating Kieran Tierney is going nowhere until Arsenal offer the right amount for the left-back(reported to be in the region of 25 million).

He said: “We can’t do anything about what clubs do in England.

“£50m for Wan-Bissaka is a lot of money and we feel that Kieran is a far more experienced and rounded full-back at this juncture in his career.”

While most of the major publications have indicated that the Gunners’ latest bid for Kieran Tierney is in fact in the region of what the Bhoys had been demanding but there are a few things the SPFL club do not like.

The first thing was that Celtic want more cash upfront instead of incentives and now a new issue seems to have crept up.

As per reports, the deal includes incentives based on Arsenal qualifying for the Champions League and Celtic seriously have doubts over this clause.

Arsenal are obviously one of the powerhouses in the English Premier League and Celtic doubting their abilities has not gone down too well with the Gunners fans who have taken to social media to bash the Premiership side.

But in reality, next season six major clubs will fight for the four Champions League spots from the EPL and Arsenal are not particularly the favourites to get back in the top tier.
