Rangers FC signed Kyle Lafferty during the summer transfer window from Hearts on a two-year deal.

This will be Lafferty’s second spell at Ibrox after having spent four seasons at the club from 2008 till 2012.

When Kyle Lafferty arrived everyone thought that the 30-year-old will play as a backup striker to Alfredo Morelos.

But Steven Gerrard has surprised almost everyone by changing his formation in order to accommodate both Lafferty and Morelos in the first eleven.

And while the fans are expecting great things from Kyle Lafferty on the pitch, the striker has been achieving success in his personal life.

Lafferty recently tweeted that he has spent one full year without gambling.

It’s no secret that the striker has had a long-standing gambling addiction but now he is fighting it and has gone clean for 365 days.

Lafferty wrote on Twitter: “Never thought I would ever see this day.

“It’s been one year today since the last time I placed a bet. I was in a dark place and lowest I’ve ever been and to come out of it and celebrate this achievement is amazing and I’ve never been happier. 365 days.”

Lafferty so far has played four games for Rangers since his move from Hearts and the 30-year-old has already scored two goals.
