Kyle Lafferty
Kyle Lafferty to Rangers

Rangers FC brought in Kyle Lafferty during the summer transfer window in order to add support to Alfredo Morelos upfront.

And the striker took very little time to settle down at Ibrox during his second stint with the club.

Kyle Lafferty scored a flurry of goals during the first couple of weeks but now that the season is entering the business phase, the 31-year-old seems have lost his goal-scoring touch.

The striker has managed to score only five goals in 25 appearances for the Teddy Bears this season and former Rangers man Lee McCulloch feels that Kyle Lafferty is lacking confidence infront of goal.

“Kyle Lafferty looks to me like a player who is really short of confidence at the minute,” wrote McCulloch for the Evening Times.

“His early miss against Hamilton was absolutely incredible, and really not like him. He looks to me the archetype of a striker that just needs a goal.

“He’ll come back and score an important goal or tear a full defence apart, I have absolutely no doubt about that.”

Steven Gerrard has obviously favoured Alfredo Morelos over Kyle Lafferty but the suspension that the Colombian has picked up has really caused problems for the manager.

Reports suggest that Rangers are planning to make a move for Willem II forward Fran Sol during the summer transfer window and if this move goes through then Kyle Lafferty will be sure to leave the club at the end of the season.
