Atletico Madrid could finally get their hands on Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette this summer – as per reports.
The Gunners paid £52million to Lyon for the services of the Frenchman back in 2017 but he has not been the outright first-choice striker for Mikel Arteta ever since he took charge back in December.
And now it seems like the manager has finally made up his mind about the player and the club are reportedly ready to listen to offers for him.
Atletico Madrid have been linked with Alexandre Lacazette over the past couple of months and this decision from Arsenal could help Diego Simeone’s side secure a transfer for the Frenchman.
The La Liga side already have the likes of Costa, Alvaro Morata and Joao Felix amongst their ranks but this season, they have really struggled to score goals which is why they will try their level best to bring in Alexandre Lacazette in the summer.

Atletico Madrid are known to be a club who spend big in the transfer market and since Arsenal are badly in need of funds to spend, they could end up asking for a massive transfer fee in return of the Frenchman.
We are not yet sure if this decision will put Atletico off but Diego Simeone is also a shrewd character who knows that the North London club cannot afford to hold onto both Alexandre Lacazette as well as Aubameyang and hence might use this to his advantage.
If the Gunners want to keep Aubameyang at the club then they will have to agree to his massive wage demands and for that to happen, Mikel Arteta first and foremost needs to free up locker room space.
And right now it looks like the manager has come to the conclusion that Alexandre Lacazette is the player who is indispensable even if that means letting Aubameyang leave for free next year.
