Liverpool have spent heavily in the transfer market during the past two transfer window and the impact of that can be seen on their performances this campaign.

The Reds currently lead the Premier League title race and they have been able to maintain that four points gap with Man City who are second on the table.

The busy summer transfer window means that no big players are expected to join the Anfield outfit this month.

But the club are busy shedding some deadwood.

Liverpool have already sold off Dominic Solanke to AFC Bournemouth for 19 million pounds while Nathaniel Clyne has also joined the Cherries – on loan.

And now if reports are to be believed then the Reds are looking to sell off one more attacker – Lazar Markovic.

Markovic joined Liverpool from Benfica but the player has fallen badly out of favour under Jurgen Klopp.

The Serbian plays primarily down the right wing but right now Mo Salah has made that position his own sweet space so there is no way that Lazar Markovic will be getting into the first team any time soon.

This season the player has been forced to train with the U23 side and so far he has made just two appearances in the reserve league.

Markovic joined on a five-year contract meaning his deal ends this summer and Liverpool are looking to offload him this month itself.

Right now there is no real interest in the player but during the summer Anderlecht did want to buy him and some reports suggest that Liverpool might offer Lazar Markovic to the Belgium club once again this month.
