Gers’ new manager Steven Gerrard has been making signings at the drop of a hat and with that, a couple of players are also expected to move out of Ibrox during the summer.

And right-back Lee Hodson seems to be the next player in line to exit the Glasgow side.

Hodson moved to Rangers from MK Dons in 2016 under the managerial regime of Mark Warburton but ever since his move the full-back has failed to make any sort of impact in the first team setup.

During his two-year stay at Ibrox, Lee Hodson has managed to just 27 games for the Light Blues with 17 of them coming in the Scottish League.

Lee Hodson was supposed to be the successor to James Tavernier but the 26-year-old has done anything but that.

Now reports are claiming that Rangers are planning to send him out on a season-long loan to Rotherham United who are interested in signing the player.

Rotherham United gained promotion to the Championship at the end of the 2017-18 season and manager Paul Warne wants to bolster his squad in order to secure his team’s place in the second division of English football for the next couple of years.

Lee Hodson is undoubtedly a fine talent but the player has mostly served as a back-up and with his long-term future still in shadows, Steven Gerrard has found it apt to send him out on loan in order to get some much needed first team football.

As of now all we know that Lee Hodson might move to Rotherham United on a loan deal but if we will have to wait and see if there will be a buy-out clause in that contract.
