Rangers FC left-back Lee Wallace has been spending most of his time on the fringes at Ibrox despite being the central figure at the club for a pretty long time.

And this downfall for Wallace started last season after that infamous spat with the Rangers manager.

Ever since that time, Lee Wallace has been an outcast at the club despite Steven Gerrard maintaining that the left-back can make a return back to the first eleven this season.

Wallace made his first major appearance for the club this Monday when he played for the reserves side against Motherwell at the Rangers training ground.

The Light Blues won the match 6-2 and after the match, Motherwell reserve boss Stephen Craigan commended the performance and the attitude of Lee Wallace.

Talking to BT, Craigan said: “Lee Wallace cruised through the game,

“People might question Lee Wallace’s attitude or things that have gone on in the past, but his attitude yesterday was terrific.

He was encouraging people, he was talking to young players, he was driving up and down the pitch himself. He set a great example for both teams.”

While Gerrard has maintained that he will welcome back Lee Wallace once he resolves his issues with the board but that right now is a far-fetched dream given how the board had reacted to Wallace and Miller winning an appeal with the SFA regarding their bans.

The situation between both the parties is not expected to improve any further with many fans hoping that the club will offload Lee Wallace during the January transfer window.

But many fans are sincerely hoping that Steven Gerrard gives atleast a couple of chances to Lee Wallace to provide his mettle.
