Leicester City suffer a triple injury blow before their clash vs Arsenal: Advantage Gunners?

Leicester City take on Arsenal in the Premier League on Tuesday and manager Brendan Rodgers could have some serious selection issues going into this key match.

The first big problem is with full-back Ben Chilwell who could manage to play only 45 minutes against Crystal Palace during the weekend and had to be taken off at half-time.

The defender had an injection in his heel before taking on the Eagles but could not survive the whole match and now he is a major doubt for the game at the Emirates.

James Maddison picked up an injury in training before the trip to Everton last week and his 45 minutes on the pitch vs the Toffees seem to have caused even more damage to his hip.

And speaking to in his pre-match press conference, the Leicester City boss has admitted that Chilwell and James Maddison both remain doubts for the clash vs Arsenal.

Rodgers said: “We’ve got doubts over James Maddison and Ben Chilwell. They’re the two that could struggle but we’ll see how they are today,

“We just have to wait and see. There are big doubts over both. Ben’s is his plantar fascia, the bottom of his foot, which is giving him pain. We’ll just have to assess that and see what the specialists say on it.

“You can play through it but of course there are times you get a real bad pain in it, so it’s just trying to manage that.

“They’ll both be big doubts for the game but we’ll give them maybe a chance.”

Ayoze Perez was also taken off against Crystal Palace with an ankle injury and he will go through a late fitness test in order to determine his availability.

These three are amongst the best performing players in the Leicester City squad this season and if all of them are ruled out then Brendan Rodgers will be in a bit of a fix against Arsenal.

For the Gunners, this will be a massive chance to keep their winning streak going and pick up yet another three points in the league.
