West Brom defender Jonny Evans is all set to leave the Hawthorns and join Leicester City during the summer transfer window.
Evans had been tipped to move out of West Brom during the January transfer window with top clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City reportedly eyeing a move for the former Man United centre-back.
Any kind of deal though did not materialize at the start of the new year and many reports blamed it on the poor form of West Brom in the Premier League.
According to various reports, all the interested clubs had reportedly pulled out from the move in the hopes of getting Jonny Evans for a cut-price at the end of the season.
And the exact same thing has happened after West Brom finished at the bottom of the Premier League table and were subsequently relegated to the Championship.
But instead of Arsenal or Manchester City making a bid, reports are suggesting that Leicester City have triggered Evans’ 3 million pound release clause.

According to Telegraph’s John Percy, the deal is set to be confirmed within this week.
This move though does not come as a huge surprise given the fact that both Arsenal and Manchester City have made investments in bringing new defenders into the squad.
Arsenal recently made their first official signing under Unai Emery when they brought in Stephan Lichsteiner from Juventus. Even though this was a free transfer but reports suggest that Unai Emery is also planning to bring in a couple of other defenders during the course of the summer.
Manchester City too brought in centre-back Aymeric Laporte from Athletic Bilbao during the January transfer window for a reported fee of £57 million.
