Leicester City are reportedly trying their level best to land a deal for Rangers FC forward Alfredo Morelos, as per reports.
The Colombian international has been the star player for the Gers ever since he joined the club back in 2017 and this season, he’s already netted 29 goals along with 10 assists.
And as per Football Insider, Alfredo Morelos happens to be on the transfer wishlist for Brendan Rodgers who watched him closely when he was with Celtic but right now there is one small problem.
While the player’s talent is not a question but his attitude and personality on the pitch have been a real head-ache for Rangers over the past three years.
Apart from this, the Foxes also will look into video footage of his performances over the years so judge if he is capable enough of playing in the Premier League for Leicester City.
The report claims: “A Leicester source has told Football Insider that Morelos is on their target list but they will do extensive checks on him before making a move.
“The controversial striker, 23, is well known to Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers from his time as manager of Celtic.
“But the club’s recruitment team will not only pore over footage over Morelos and analysis his performances in all match situation and against all type of opponents.
“They will also analyse Morelos‘ personality and background to get a full picture of him and whether he can make a big impact at a high-performing Premier League club.”
Rangers reportedly want around £25-30million in exchange of Alfredo Morelos and given the brand value of Leicester City there is very little Steven Gerrard can do if the Foxes do come calling.
But now as it stands, everything depends on how the Premier League club analyzes the player and if Brendan Rodgers gives the green light to the move.
