Ever since Steven Gerrard was appointed the new manager of Rangers, it seems like the former Liverpool midfielder has sought out the help of his former club in order to rebuild the Gers squad.

Gerrard has already made a couple of signings from Liverpool this summer and it seems like the Gers boss has persuaded his old club to release one more player.

If reports are to be believed then Liverpool have agreed to send out winger Ryan Kent on a season-long loan to Ibrox.

Ryan Kent has been with the Anfield outfit since the age of seven but the 21-year-old is yet to make a breakthrough in the first eleven. And in such a scenario, Jurgen Klopp has agreed to send him out on loan – yet again.

Kent’s move to Rangers will not be his first loan spell away from Liverpool as the winger has previously spent time with clubs like Barnsley and Coventry and his last loan spell was with Bristol City during the second half of the 2017-18 season.

This summer it was Championship side Blackburn Rovers who were interested in signing the winger for the next campaign.

But what has favoured Rangers in getting the services of Ryan Kent is the fact that Bristol City had to suffer a £500,000 penalty last season because of their failure to give the winger adequate first-team opportunities.

And Liverpool seriously doubted if Blackburn could match up to their demands

Steven Gerrard though has made it clear that nothing of this sort will happen if the 21-year-old moves to Ibrox as he will see a fair amount of game time during the 2018-19 season.

And as per the reports, Liverpool have been convinced with what the Light Blues have put on the table.

This deal as and when it goes through will be a win-win situation for both Ryan Kent and Steven Gerrard given the fact that both the manager and player know each other pretty well from their time at Anfield.

So the winger should not have a great deal of difficulty in settling down in Scotland.
