Ross Barkley wanted by Man United

Liverpool suffered their first defeat of the 2019-20 season(not considering the Community Shield final) on Tuesday when they went down 2-0 to Napoli in the Champions League.

And next up they take on Chelsea away from home but some experts believe, Jurgen Klopp’s men should be able to get things back on track despite this being a tough fixture primarily since Chelsea have made a very rough start to their campaign.

The Blues have so far managed to win just two out of their five Premier League matches and both these victories have come away from home.

But according to Ross Barkley, every team is beatable and Liverpool too could be overcome on Sunday.

“Every side is beatable on the day. It just goes down to hard work, putting extra yards in, being clinical as well and a bit of luck,” Barkley told reporters.

“The big games bring the best out of all players,

“As you have seen in the Super Cup final and how well we performed in that game, and we can perform to those levels again on Sunday and hopefully it goes our way.

“We are joint-third [in the league on points]. We’re not doing badly. We won at the weekend, scoring goals. We have got a confident bunch of lads in the team.

“We have got a big game on Sunday and we are confident we can win the game.

“We are going to win home games, aren’t we? We haven’t won yet but there is a big game coming up at the weekend.

“Hopefully, we win that and start winning our home games.”

VERDICT:

Chelsea scored five goals past Wolves last season thereby showing everyone that their forwards can score goals even under tough situations.

But what remains to be seen is whether the likes of Pulisic and Abraham are good enough to beat Van Dijk and Joel Matip who will be playing in the Liverpool central defence – all while ensuring that they themselves do not concede.
