Liverpool visit Turf Moor on Wednesday to take on Burnley in the Premier League and no one really expects them to lose this encounter.

The Reds are currently two points behind league leaders Manchester City(at the time of writing this article) and after that emphatic win against Everton on Sunday, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be soaring high.

But the manager might have some injury concerns before heading to Turf Moor.

The first big absentee might be Sadio Mane who picked up a foot injury during the Merseyside Derby.

While the injury does not look very serious but the club have confirmed that the forward has a cut which might take some time to heel.

“He is sitting in the dressing room and has a cut on his foot. I don’t know how it happened [but it’s a] very painful thing,” Klopp told the club’s website.

“We have to see, but we have opportunities, options [and] we can make different line-ups. We’ll see,

“But Sadio got a real knock on his foot, we’ll have to see how that ends. He played a game, huh? He was so quick, unbelievable. But that’s only one thing.”

Sadio Mane could be available for selection but given the options Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal we do not think the manager will risk playing the African unless he is a 100 per cent fit.

Another player who could the match against Burnley on Wednesday is left-back Andrew Robertson.

Robertson was in fine form against the Toffees but the Scottish international is currently recovering from a dead leg.

“Hopefully all the rest will be OK. Robbo I think has a dead leg, his hip, so at the moment we have to see,” the manager added.

“Of course, we play in three days, that’s really hard, but tonight we don’t have to think about that. We celebrate, go home, [have a] proper sleep. Tomorrow, recovery, and then we’ll make ourselves ready for Burnley.”

In most circumstances, a dead leg heals within a couple of days but if the injury is severe then we do not think, Jurgen Klopp will risk him – especially with the busy festive season coming up.
