Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park this weekend and it looks like both Joe Gomez and Jordan Henderson will be available for that trip.

Joe Gomez picked up a knock while training for the national side last week and immediately he was sent back to Melwood to recover from his injury.

Initial reports had claimed the injury was serious meaning the player will likely miss a few matches but now things are looking much better.

As per the latest scans, the injury is not too serious and the medical staff are confident the player will be able to recover in time for the Palace game.

The return of Gomez will surely be a boost for Liverpool but the youngster is not expected to feature in the first XI this weekend since Dejan Lovren has been partnering Van Dijk in central defence in the absence of Joel Matip.

Midfielder Jordan Henderson didn’t feature against Montenegro or Kosovo due to a viral infection and there were fears that he too could miss the match vs Palace on Saturday.

Now though as per the latest reports, the England international has made a full recovery and will be available for selection this weekend at Selhurst Park.

The return of Hendo means he will play alongside Wijnaldum and Fabinho in a midfield trio while Naby Keita starts on the bench.

While the return of these two players is good news for Jurgen Klopp but the Liverpool is currently sweating over the injuries to Mo Salah and Andy Robertson.

Both these players pulled out of international duties last week and there are fears they might not be fit in time to play vs the Eagles.

While some rumours claim Robertson could still make himself available but the Egyptian might not even be named in the matchday squad on Saturday.
