PSG have currently frozen out Adrien Rabiot and with his contract expiring during the summer, the player is expected to leave Paris on a free transfer.

Up until now, Real Madrid were said to be the frontrunners to signing the midfielder but now reports are claiming that the La Liga side have cooled their interest.

The report suggests that Zidane is no longer interested in signing the 24-year-old due to his excessive wage demands which means the Premier League clubs are not the frontrunners to sign him.

During the 2018-19 season, Adrien Rabiot has played in only 14 league games and most of these appearances have come off the bench which means the midfielder is very rusty.

But given that such a talented player is available in the market on a free transfer, almost everyone is willing to take the gamble.

And if reports are to be believed then Liverpool now lead the line to sign the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window.

Adrien Rabiot is primarily a midfielder the same role that Jordan Henderson plays at Anfield but during the past couple of games, Klopp has chosen to deploy the England international in a more advanced role.

This means Rabiot can very seamlessly adjust into the central midfield area partnering the likes of Naby Keita and Fabinho.

Apart from Liverpool, a number of other Premier League clubs are also interested in signing the midfielder but right now the biggest problem is if Real Madrid come back.

Zidane is said to be focusing on bringing in Paul Pogba from Manchester United and some experts believe that if Real Madrid fail to sign the Frenchman then they might once again turn their focus back to Adrien Rabiot.
