Liverpool are planning to send Divock Origi out on loan during the January transfer window – according to reports.

Divock Origi arrived at the club with much promise from Lille. But since 2014 all he has done is warm the benches at the Anfield outfit.

He was supposed to be sent out on loan during the summer transfer window but Jurgen Klopp decided against the move claiming the forward had a role to play this season.

Four months into the new campaign and Divock Origi is yet to play a Premier League game for Liverpool and now reports are suggesting that Klopp has decided to send him out on loan at the start of the new year.

ESPN is suggested that Turkish club Galatasaray want to sign Divock Origi on loan.

The Turkish club are in desperate need of a striker as their head coach is currently playing his wide players as makeshift strikers.

Head coach Fatih Terim has identified Divock Origi as a solution to his problem but the club could face some resistance from Scotland club Rangers FC.

Rangers are currently being managed by Steven Gerrard and the former Liverpool midfielder has pretty close ties with Jurgen Klopp.

Rangers were one of the clubs interested in signing Divock Origi during the summer and some sources claim that they have not lost interest.

Gerrard worked with the Liverpool academy last year so Klopp is very much aware with the way the Liverpool legend works.

Another plus for Rangers is the fact that they already have a bunch of youngsters who have joined the club during the summer on loan spells from Liverpool.

This is a clear indication that Jurgen Klopp has full faith in Steven Gerrard which is sure to work in favour of the Scottish side.

Liverpool are planning to sell off Divock Origi at the end of the season in order to raise funds for the signing of Ousmane Dembele but if he does move to Galatasaray then the Turkish club will not be able to sign him permanently given the Fair Play restrictions.
