Liverpool take on FC Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg at Anfield on Tuesday.

And right now, Jurgen Klopp is one tensed man.

Liverpool’s primary goal this season has been to win the Premier League but they also have one eye of the Champions League trophy and given they play a sort of inferior side in the quarter-finals, Klopp will surely be hoping to progress to the semis without much fuss.

The two teams met each other last season too and the Reds ended up winning the two-legged tie with an aggregate scoreline of 5-0

Liverpool news vs Porto:

Liverpool have a fit defence right now but right-back Andy Robertson will miss this tie due to a suspension after picking up a late booking at the Allianz Arena.

This means James Milner will move into the right-back role while Alexander-Arnold plays at left-back and the duo of Van Dijk and Joel Matip start in central defence.

Fabinho has really picked up his game during the past couple of months and he is a guaranteed starter on Tuesday in central midfield alongside Jordan Henderson.

Naby Keita played exceptionally well during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Southampton on Friday but the former Bundesliga man will hopefully drop back to the bench making way for Wijnaldum.

The front three will obviously see no tinkering as Sadio Mane will operate from the left flank while Mo Salah while will play down the right. Roberto Firmino will play down the middle.

Xherdan Shaqiri is back from injury and was on the bench against the Saints which means the Swiss could be used as a second-half substitute against Porto on Tuesday.
