Liverpool beat Southampton 2-1 this past weekend meaning they are now on top of the Premier League table based on goal difference.

And next up, they will take on Arsenal who are second on the league table and this will be the first big challenge for Jurgen Klopp this season.

The Reds did not have a really easy outing vs the Saints as a late howler from Adrian helped Southampton score a goal which in turn led to a few nervy minutes for Jurgen Klopp and his players.

But hopefully, they can sort things out this weekend and keep their winning streak going by beating Arsenal at home.

Liverpool news vs Arsenal:

Alisson Becker picked up a calf injury during Liverpool’s opener vs Norwich and Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that he will remain sidelined for a couple of more weeks.

The manager said: “I don’t want to make [an] exact prognosis on when he will be back, so now then we have to see. It takes a couple of weeks for sure, and we have to see.”

This means that summer signing Adrian will once again be the first choice keeper for Liverpool next weekend.

Van Dijk and Joel Matip started in central defence vs the Saints and the duo should keep their place in the first XI but some rumours claim that Joel Matip could drop down to the bench with Joe Gomez taking his place.

The midfield area could see a major reshuffle as Wijnaldum is the only place who is likely to keep his place from the Southampton win.

The other two players, Milner and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain should move back to the bench as Jordan Henderson and Fabinho come in. The Brazilian will play in deep defence while Jordan Henderson is likely to be deployed in a more advanced role.

Naby Keita has been ruled out this game as the manager has confirmed that the player has picked up a muscle injury

Xherdan Shaqiri has shown frustration in recent weeks over the lack of first-team opportunities but the forward is not expected to make any headway.

Mo Salah and Sadio Mane will be deployed on either flank as usual while Roberto Firmino plays down the middle.

Some rumours though have claimed that Divock Origi could be given a nod ahead of Firmino but we do not think Jurgen Klopp will take such a risk against an opposition like Arsenal.
