Liverpool have wrapped up the Premier League title but since then, their form has taken a substantial dip and last week they went down 2-1 to Arsenal away from home.

This week, they will have the chance to get back to winning ways as they welcome Chelsea at Anfield and for the first time in ages, both these sides are pretty evenly matched.

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 56 home matches in the Premier League but since they picked up the title, they have only won two of five matches which is a bit of a concern for Jurgen Klopp.

Chelsea are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 away matches against Liverpool in all competitions and they go into this game at the back of a fine FA Cup win against Manchester United so if the Liverpool players are not careful, they might lose yet another match in the league.

Liverpool team news vs Chelsea:

Joel Matip is out for the rest of the season which means Van Dijk will once again be partnered by Joe Gomez in central defence.

Klopp would love to rest one of his full-backs but with James Milner an injury concern, Alexander-Arnold and Robertson will have to start against Chelsea.

Jordan Henderson is another player who has been ruled out for the current season meaning Fabinho will be partnered by Wijnaldum in central midfield while Oxlade-Chamberlain should start a bit further upfront.

With the title wrapped up, there’s also a chance that Naby Keita gets the nod ahead of the England international.

Firmino has been really poor this year and it will not be a major surprise if the Brazilian is rested and Divock Origi starts in his place.

Some experts think Minamino should get a start against Chelsea but we do not think Jurgen Klopp will be too eager to hand the January signing a start meaning Sadio Mane and Mo Salah will operate down the wings.

Liverpool’s predicted XI vs Chelsea:

Predicted Starting XI: Alisson; Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita/Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Firmino/Origi.
