Liverpool beat on Manchester United in the Premier League this past weekend and next up they take on Wolves at the Molineux.

The Reds are currently in a superb run of form but against Wolves, this fine run could very well be haunted since Santo’s men have a reputation of being giant killers.

And going into this match, Xherdan Shaqiri had already ruled himself out of the Wolves game.

“It is just slight, I had a little problem in training,” Xherdan Shaqiri told Liverpoolfc.com on Monday.

“So I hope I might be back later this week. Let’s see, I cannot say now but it will be good if so. I didn’t have a lot of playing rhythm. I missed pre-season also and there were different reasons why I got some knocks maybe.

“I’m staying positive and I still try to have the opportunity to give my best and to help the team.”

Now the Liverpool has also revealed that Dejan Lovren will not be fit to play against Wolves despite the player returning back to training this week.

“Dejan trained now since the start of the week, Monday,” Klopp told his pre-match press conference on Wednesday.

“So, [it’s his] first steps out on the pitch, it’s good.

“Millie is not in team training, Naby is not in team training and Shaq is not in team training.

“They are all back soon.”

It looks like Dejan Lovren will take some more time to be fully fit but his return to training is surely a big boost for Jurgen Klopp since Liverpool get back into the Champions League next month and the manager will love to have a fully fit squad when they take on Atletico Madrid.
