Kepa Arrizabalaga has been sticking out like a sore thumb for Chelsea this season and once again the keeper is under fire after Chelsea drew their latest Premier League game vs Arsenal at home.

The Spaniard is the world’s most expensive goalkeeper and currently fighting hard to be the regular No for the national side but his performance vs Arsenal was once again not up to the mark especially since he could have done a lot more to stop Hector Bellerin from scoring.

And speaking after the match, the manager clearly sent out a warning to his first-choice keeper telling him to up his game before things take a turn for the worse.

The manager told the press: ‘I know there’s a focus on him at the minute.

‘That’s top-line football. Yes, with his feet, a couple of times today he took too long and he nearly gave it away. That can sometimes change the momentum of a game and he will know and have to look at, and we will have to look at.

‘Yes, it is normal. Any player in a position, particularly goalkeepers, will be looked at, particularly the mettle you have got.

‘But he is not the only one. We are in fourth position which is seen as pretty good.

‘I know and we all know that there should be another 10 points on the board at least on performance. We need to look at those final details.’

Here’s a list compiled by our good pals at GMS which shows just how poor Kepa Arrizabalaga has been this season:

1. Faced two shots on target against Arsenal, conceded them both

2. The 127th best save percentage in Europe’s top five leagues out of 132 goalkeepers

3. The worst save percentage of any Premier League goalkeeper this season

4. Fewest ‘expected’ goals prevented in the 2019/20 Premier League season

5. Fewer clean sheets than Watford, Burnley, Newcastle and West Ham United this season

6. More goals conceded from outside the box (6) than any Premier League goalkeeper in 2019/20

7. Ranked as the 27th best Premier League goalkeeper this season out of 35 by WhoScored.com
