Liverpool started the new year with a win against Sheffield United in the Premier League and next up they take on Everton in 3rd round FA Cup draw.

Liverpool are undefeated in their last 23 home matches against Everton in all competitions and we really don’t see Jurgen Klopp’s men losing this game either.

But having said that the Anfield outfit are currently dealing with a series of injury concerns which will surely make rotating the squad very tough for the manager.

The likes of Fabinho and Shaqiri are already out with injuries and now Naby Keita is also set to miss the Merseyside Derby which means Klopp will have to use a couple of youngsters in his first XI if he wishes to rest his regular players.

Liverpool team news vs Everton:

Alisson Becker could be rested for this match and if he is on the bench then it will be Adrian who will play in goal on Sunday.

Both Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren remain sidelined with injuries meaning it will be the pairing of Joe Gomez and Van Dijk who will once again take centre stage at Anfield.

While some experts claim that the manager could field two youngsters in defence but we don’t think Klopp will take such a huge risk given they take on an Everton side managed by Carlo Ancelotti.

James Milner should come into the side to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back while Robertson keeps his place in the starting XI.

Naby Keita picked up a groin injury before the Sheffield game meaning Adam Lallana will start in central midfield alongside Henderson.

And since the manager is running thin on outfield players we could very well see the debut of Takumi Minamino at Anfield during the weekend.

Mo Salah should ideally be replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri but the Swiss will have to go through a late fitness test in order to determine his availability for the Merseyside Derby.

Roberto Firmino should be given a much-deserved rest meaning Divock Origi will play as the main front-man while Sadio Mane operates down the left flank.
