After failing to capitalise on numerous opportunities to stay at the top of the Premier League table, Liverpool have finally dropped down to the second spot.

Man City won their game vs Everton in midweek, meaning they have now moved top of the table – level on points with Liverpool.

And the pressure will now be on the Reds to reclaim that spot when they take on Bournemouth at home this weekend.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth: Team news

The Reds have failed to with the last two of their league games but this game against the Cherries would have been an easy three points.

But as things stand, Jurgen Klopp has a number of injury concerns going into this match and with Bayern Munich visiting next week, a lot of things can go wrong for the Anfield outfit.

Jordan Henderson is not likely to feature during the Liverpool vs Bournemouth match since he is out with a muscle injury and to add to that Gini Wijnaldum has suffered a knee injury.

This means that Klopp will once again have to play the duo of Naby Keita and Fabinho in midfield but we all saw how inefficient it turned out to be against West Ham on Monday.

Trent Alexander Arnold is also out with a knee injury but James Milner should cover for him in the right-back spot.

Dejan Lovren is recovering from a hamstring injury and the fact that Joe Gomez has just had an operation on his leg, Klopp has only Van Dijk and Joel Matip as his fit centre-backs.

The attacking department is very much sorted though and the trio of Mo Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino will most certainly start the Liverpool vs Bournemouth game.
