Manchester United take on Liverpool in the Premier League this Sunday and Jose Mourinho is a man under pressure.
United lost their final Champions League group game against Valencia on Wednesday and now they have to take on an inform Liverpool side at Anfield.
The Red Devils have a number of injury concerns before the game but perhaps the most significant one is that of forward Anthony Martial.
Martial has been recovering from a hamstring problem during the past week and the French international is yet to return back to full training.
After the news of Anthony Martial’s injury broke, Jose Mourinho had claimed that it was not, in fact, an injury but sort of a pre-injury.
“He doesn’t think it is an injury, he thinks it was a pre-injury, it was feeling tight,” the manager had said.
This relieved the nerves of all those United fans who thought Anthony Martial would be out of action for a long time.
But the fact that the forward is yet to return back to training is surely a cause of concern for the fans as well as Jose Mourinho.
Martial has been one of the best performers for Manchester United during the past month and with Alexis Sanchez also out injured, the Frenchman has been seeing a lot of game time.
But if Anthony Martial cannot make himself fit for Sunday encounter vs Liverpool then Jose Mourinho will have to play Marcus Rashford on the left flank while Jesse Lingard will be deployed on the right-hand side.
