Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria joined Steven Gerrard’s Rangers on a season-long loan deal during the summer transfer window and he went on to make a pretty impactful start to his new career.
But last month it was suddenly announced by the Rangers boss that the player would be returning back to his parent club as his loan deal was being terminated.
And after returning back to Melwood, Liverpool have once again end Ovie Ejaria out on loan – this time to Championship side Reading.
Reading currently sit 23rd on the Championship table and Ejaria has joined then until the end of the season.
After joining the English club, the Liverpool youngster talked about his life under Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.
Ejaria said: “I’ve played quite a few games now on both of those loan spells, they have benefitted me and I can take those experiences into this one.
“He (Steven Gerrard) is a very good manager and I’m grateful for the opportunity he gave me.”
While the player has heaped praises on Steven Gerrard, it still remains unclear as to why he chose to leave Ibrox and return back to Liverpool.
Some rumours have claimed that the Gers boss was not too happy with the midfielder’s outcome and chose to terminate the contract after a discussion with the Ovie Ejaria and his family.
The official version though is that the player himself wanted to leave Scotland and head back to Melwood since he was unable to settle down at Ibrox under Gerrard.
