Liverpool have tried to sign Lorenzo Insigne during the January transfer window but Napoli were not interested in selling him off.

Reports had suggested that Jurgen Klopp had launched a massive £61 million bid for Lorenzo Insigne but the Serie A were swiftly rejected the offer.

And as the 2018-19 season was coming to an end there were rumours that Liverpool would once again make a move for the winger. But Napoli were quick to clear the air.

“He is not on the market, I have not registered interest in Insigne,” the club’s president said.

“He is an extraordinary, attractive player, there are few like him,” said De Laurentiis in March.

So it was pretty evident that the Serie A club would be holding onto Lorenzo Insigne for the upcoming season.

Now though it looks like the club have taken a U-turn and are now willing to part ways with the 28-year-old is the right offer comes by.

De Laurentiis told reporters, as quoted by TEAMtalk: “If we receive offers that can allow us to replace them then [Insigne and teammate Allan] we can talk about it.

“If not, if we receive offers in the last 10 days of the transfer window then it’s not possible anymore.”

And this has led many to believe that Liverpool will once again reignite their interest in the forward in the coming few weeks.

The Anfield outfit spends a large amount of money last year by bringing in the likes of Van Dijk and Alisson which has means they should be doing minimal business this summer.

But Lorenzo Insigne is a player who has been on the radar for Jurgen Klopp for some time now so many experts feel that the Reds will not shy away from breaking the bank in order to sign him.

In January, Klopp was ready to pay £61 million for Lorenzo Insigne so if they were to launch another bid for the winger then their latest bid should most definitely be in line with their previous offer.
