Man City went into the international break at the back of a 2-0 win in the Manchester Derby and they will be eager to keep this winning run going when they face Everton on Sunday.
City are currently second on the Premier League table, three points behind league leaders Chelsea but if they fail to pick up a win this matchweek then they could very well slip to the fourth spot.
Obviously, Man City are the favourites to pick up a win this weekend since Everton are in really poor form right now whereas the Etihad outfit are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 league matches.
Pep Guardiola’s have been playing phenomenal football just like any other season but the other teams have stepped up their game this time around which is why the Cityzens cannot afford to take their foot off the peddle.
Man City team news vs Everton:
Aymeric Laporte has returned from suspension so he will be pushing John Stones for a place in central defence this weekend. And since Laporte has been the favoured centre-back for Guardiola this season, we expect him to push Stones down the pecking order.
Joao Cancelo and Kyle Walker have done tremendous jobs as the two full-backs and barring an injury setback these two will not be omitted from the squad.
Kevin De Bruyne was one of the standout players in the Manchester Derby and he will keep his position in the side despite playing both the games for Belgium during the international break.
The Man City manager is spoilt for choices when it comes to attackers and midfielders which means several players are likely to be disappointed on Sunday.
Jack Grealish remains a doubt for this game meaning either Phil Foden or Raheem Sterling could be used down the left flank. Guardiola loves to use young Foden in the false-nine role which means Sterling could get some time despite rumours of his exit doing the rounds.
Jack Grealish has a ‘small injury’ and has been sent for a scan as a ‘precaution’, according to England manager Gareth Southgate. pic.twitter.com/6HMGZceIFj

Bernardo Silva played down the middle against Manchester United but we think the Portuguese will shift to the right-hand side thereby pushing Gabriel Jesus to the bench.
Jesus and Riyad Mahrez will be available from the bench while Ferran Torres remains unavailable with a foot injury and the forward will only return in January.
Man City predicted line up vs Everton:
Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Ederson; Stones/Laporte, Dias, Walker, Joao Cancelo; Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Sterling/Grealish, Foden, Silva.
UPDATE:
The duo of Jack Grealish and Kevin De Bruyne have been ruled out while Phil Foden will be touch and go. Grealish is yet to recover from his injury while De Bruyne has tested positive for COVID.
