4-3-3 Man City’s predicted line up vs Liverpool: John Stones returns from injury?

Man City have managed to keep pressure on Arsenal for the top spot in the Premier League table but next up, they take on Liverpool and the outcome of this tie could once again change the fate of several clubs.

Manchester City are currently just one point behind league leaders Arsenal but if they fail to win on Sunday then that gap will not only widen to four points but at the same time, Spurs will move above them on the table.

This one’s a home game for Liverpool and the Reds are undefeated in their last 27 home matches in the Premier League. On paper this will be a very evenly matched contest but based on recent form, Man City will go in as the favourites to pick up a win.

City are yet to lose in the league this season and in just nine matches, they have scored a whopping 33 goals while conceding only nine.

If Man City can find their rhythm early on then this one could turn out to be a 90-minutes for them but Liverpool are in really poor form right now so we expect Klopp’s men to throw the kitchen sink at them on Sunday.

Man City’s team news and injuries:

John Stones is very close to making a comeback but the Liverpool game might come too early for him. With Stones missing, Akanji and Ruben Dias should pair up in central defence.

Kyle Walker remains out and even midfielder Kalvin Phillips will not be available for this one. With Walker sidelined due to surgery, Cancelo will be playing on the right-hand side while Sergio Gomez plays on the left.

Players like Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden were rested for City’s midweek Champions League clash but both of them will be coming back into the side.

Erling Haaland got a much-deserved rest in midweek so he will also return to the side. Jack Grealish has managed to find his feet as the season has rolled along so he should be holding onto his place on Sunday.

Currently, Pep Guardiola has only three injured players which means naming his best side will not be a problem for the Man City manager. All he has to do is to set up his side in such a way that they can take control from the very first minute because scoring first will be really critical against this underconfident Liverpool team.

Man City predicted line up vs Liverpool:
