Man City beat Spurs 1-0 at Wembley to win the Carabao Cup and now they have to set their sights on beating PSG in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The Premier League side head to France this week for the first leg and despite PSG having so much firepower, Man City are the slight favourites to pick up a win. City have won 9 of their last 10 matches in the Champions League and the win on Sunday will have given them a massive confidence booster. The Etihad outfit have a great record on the road, losing just one out of their previous 22 away matches, a 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Wembley last weekend.

Pep Guardiola has no injury concerns going into this key game which is a big luxury to have at this stage of the season. The manager named a very strong side against Spurs so he’s expected to make only a few rotations vs PSG.

PSG have faced Manchester City on three previous occasions but they are yet to pick up a win against the Premier League side, drawing two and losing one.

Man City team news vs PSG:

Steffen was in goal for the Carabao Cup final but Ederson will be coming back into the side for the PSG game.

Aymeric Laporte scored the only goal of the match on Sunday but that will still not be enough to keep him in the starting line-up. John Stones was suspended for the final but the England international will come straight back into the side, replacing Laporte.

Cancelo put in a fine shift at left-back on Sunday but the manager is expected to rest him and bring in Zinchenko for the first leg.

Kevin De Bruyne returned to the side and will keep his place against PSG as well. Rodri came off the bench against Spurs but he is likely to replace Fernandinho in the middle of the pitch this time around.

Raheem Sterling has found it difficult to get starts for Man City in the past couple of months but he got a somewhat rare outing in the final. Unfortunately, he did not do much to impress the manager which is why the England international is not likely to feature against PSG more so since Phil Foden looks much more apt to play on that left flank.

Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus were both on the bench at Wembley but one of them should be called into the line-up in midweek. And it’s safe to say that Jesus will get the nod ahead of the Argentine.

Bernardo Silva will be pushing for a start this time around but given how brilliantly Mahrez showcased his talents on Sunday, the Portuguese international is not going to get a sniff in.

How Man City could line up vs PSG:

Predicted XI: Ederson; Walker, Zinchenko, John Stones, Ruben Dias; Rodri, Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne; Riyad Mahrez, Jesus, Phil Foden.
