Tottenham Hotspur failed to sign a single player during the summer transfer window but despite that, the team have made their best ever start to a Premier League campaign.

While Spurs have been in a good run of form but many doubt if they will be able to keep up the game especially with the games now coming thick and fast.

Spurs will surely dive into the transfer market at the start of the new year but before that, the club seems to be busy tied down their top players under new deals.

Recently players like Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela have committed their futures to the club and now Mauricio Pochettino’s biggest worry is Christian Eriksen.

Even with the likes of Lucas Moura and Dele Alli in the team, Christian Eriksen still remains an integral part of Pochettino’s plans and now the Lilywhites are scampering to make him sign a contract extension.

Up until a few weeks back, Spurs were confident that Christian Eriksen would commit his future to the club but recent comments from the Danish international has caused a fair bit of stir amongst the London outfit.

Erisken recently said: “I have my agent to take care of it so I can play football, then we see where it ends. There have been talks with Tottenham many times. I cannot say if it’s over just yet – you must ask them.”

And this statement has reportedly caught the attention of Manchester United and Liverpool who are both said to be interested in signing Christian Eriksen.

Christian Eriksen’s current contract at Spurs ends in 2020 and both Man United and Liverpool are to said to be readying a bid for next summer.

And pundits feel that a huge factor which might influence Christian Eriksen’s decision is the fact that both Liverpool and United are willing to offer a substantial wage cap in case he joins either of these two clubs.

Currently, he earns £70,000 a week at the London club which in today’s day and age is next to nothing.

While a price tag has not been set on Christian Eriksen but Transfermarkt values the midfielder at £72 million.

But given the quality of the player and the negotiation powers of Daniel Levy, we can assure you that he will not be sold for anything less than a £100m.
