Almost everyone has been pointing fingers at Alexis Sanchez for his poor performance during Man United’s defeat to PSG in the Champions League.

Sanchez came on as a replacement for the injured Jesse Lingard on the stroke of half-time and he delivered one of the poorest performances from his time at the club.

Ever since Alexis Sanchez moved to Man United from Arsenal, the Chilean seems to have lost his mojo.

And back at the Emirates, Unai Emery seems to be dealing with the same kind of problem with Mesut Ozil.

The Spanish boss has made it clear that Ozil has no future at the club and he is desperate to offload the playmaker in order to free up funds.

And in a rant against both Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has highlighted as to why the respective managements need to get rid of them asap.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Jordan said: “There is a culture that worries me within football and it’s a ‘pay cheque player’ culture.

“Sanchez has come to Manchester United for money. Ultimately if he had gone to the club that was achieving anything, with respect, he would have gone to Manchester City.

“It’s a very damning indictment of where United were at the time that they only managed to get Sanchez because they outbid Man City on terms of what the player wanted.

“This culture worries me and it’s a culture that pervades a lot of football clubs.

“I think Marko Arnautovic falls into that category, Diego Costa fell into the category towards the end of his career at Chelsea, and Oscar clearly did because he bailed out of Chelsea at 25 years of age to go play in China.

“When you look at Sanchez and Ozil – how much are you paying them and how much are you getting back?

“I think Sanchez is a busted flush in English football and I certainly think Ozil is too.

“The only thing that I would want to do is damage limitation, get them out, hope there is a situation where they can go and shine somewhere else and hope they kid someone else into the same mistake I made with my dollar, and there will always be someone else.

“It’s a shocking waste of money when you pay for something and don’t get it.

“Why would football clubs allow such a decision? It’s laziness, ineffective ownership, ineffective management and ineffective recruitment.

“Football is rife with people who do the bare minimum and pass it off as the maximum. These guys who think they work hard in football are laughable because the average guy on the street works hard and people in football do not.”
