Man United have been trying to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund for a really long time and recent reports had suggested that the Premier League side have made an advancement in this transfer race.

The report claims: “Jadon Sancho’s anticipated move to Manchester United has moved closer, as Borussia Dortmund are willing to agree on an initial fee.

“The Independent has been told that all talks regarding the deal are still between intermediaries and that there are no formal negotiations between the clubs yet, but the principles of a deal have been set out.

“Dortmund will accept an initial £60m, for a package that ultimately rises to over £100m, although there is still a distance regarding the pay plan thereafter and how much that will be.

“The German club are at this point willing to sell and are almost pushing the deal, as they have planned for Sancho’s departure and want their 2020-21 squad intact by the time they return to training on 10 August.”

Now though Dortmund’s CEO, Hans Joachim Watzke has come out to claim that there has been no communication between Man United and his club regarding the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

“So far, there has been no contact between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United in terms of Sancho,” Watzke told Suddeutsche Zeitung, via talkSPORT.

“Also not indirectly or through alleged intermediaries.”

“I expect Jadon to go to the training camp on Monday and play with us for the coming season.”

This is certainly not something that the Man United fans would have wanted to hear but despite this minor setback, the OT outfit still remain the favourites to sign Sancho this summer.

Dortmund are demanding around 110 million pounds for the sale of the 20-year-old and not a lot of European clubs will be able to spend so much money right now.

So either BVB will have to send Jadon Sancho to Manchester United or hold onto him for one more season.
