Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday and it looks like Ander Herrera could be part of the first team squad.

The Spaniard had been a key figure for United ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge of the club back in December and with Ander Herrera at the heart of the midfield, Man United rarely dropped points.

But ever since, the midfielder picked up an injury, United’s form has taken a sudden drop and the Norwegian boss is finding it really difficult to get the best out of his players.

Earlier this week though, Ander Herrera had returned back to training and there were some reports claiming that the midfielder might be back in the first XI on Sunday.

And speaking on Saturday, the Man United boss had given a ray of hope to the fans.

“I would think so yeah,” Solskjaer said when asked if Ander Herrera would play vs Chelsea.

“Ander has been training, he is enthusiastic and probably be involved on Sunday, can’t guarantee but he’s trained the last two days.”

Ander Herrera is out of contract at Man United during the summer and the club are yet to agree on terms of a new deal with the Spaniard.

Multiple reports have claimed that the two parties cannot agree on the new wages and Herrera has threatened to leave the club as a free agent if his demands are not met.

Ander Herrera has reportedly held talks with PSG over a possible summer transfer and the latest rumours claim the midfielder has already agreed on a deal with the Parisian club.

If that holds true then Ander would be playing his final few games for Man United but we have a slight doubt whether Solskjaer would try and pick him for the first XI given that he has been out of action for a couple of weeks now.
