Man United are slowly picking up pace in the Premier League but they still need to do a lot to be able to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

After four matches, Manchester United are sitting at the bottom of their group with three points and next up, they will hit the road to take on Galatasaray at the Rams Global Stadium On Wednesday.

In the reverse fixture, Man United surprisingly lost 3-2 at Old Trafford so this is a must-win match for the Premier League side. United have won three out of their previous four matches in all competitions and if they can replicate their form from Sunday’s win over Everton, this one should be an easy win for them.

On paper Man United are the stronger side but Galatasaray have lost just one home game this season so it’s going to be a very closely fought contest.

Manchester United’s team news and injuries:

Man United have a long injury list with players like Martinez, Casemiro, Eriksen, Amad, Malacia and Mason Mount all ruled out with various injury problems.

Luke Shaw returned from injury and played against Everton and the England international will start in midweek once again. Jonny Evans will be assessed before this tie but if he is not available then Maguire and Lindelof will start.

Varane has fallen down the pecking order and the multiple Champions League winner is going to remain on the bench once again.

Kobie Mainoo made his Premier League debut for Man United on Sunday and the youngster absolutely bossed the midfield alongside McTominay. The youngster will be rewarded with another start, ahead of Sofyan Amrabat.

Marcus Rashford is suspended for this UCL tie but Rasmus Hojlund is expected to come back into the side.

Antony missed Sunday’s win due to a small knock but he is going to be available in midweek which means Anthony Martial moves back to the bench.

Garnacho scored a wonder goal against the Toffees and the Argentine is going to be one of the first names on Erik ten Hag’s teamsheet.
