Man United managed to keep the title race alive last weekend by beating Man City 2-0 and they will look to use that momentum to dismantle David Moyes’ West Ham United on Sunday.

United are still 14 points off of the top of the Premier League table and there are fears that this gap could widen as West Ham United have been in stellar form this season.

Man United have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 matches in the league and this is a great achievement given how fragile their backline has looked at times throughout this campaign.

Manchester United are undefeated in their last 16 home matches against West Ham in all competitions but that record will mean very little on Sunday since the Hammers have lost just one of their previous six league games while Solskjaer’s men go into this encounter having won just two out of their own six matches.

Man United team news vs West Ham United:

David De Gea has returned from Spain but we are not sure if Ole will be too inclined to use him on Sunday since he has more than an apt replacement in the form of Dean Henderson.

Alex Telles played at left-back against AC Milan but the summer signing will make way for Luke Shaw while Eric Bailly is also expected to move to the bench as Victor Lindelof comes back into the team, alongside Harry Maguire.

Fred was used as a sub on Thursday but the Brazilian will replace Nemanja Matic in central midfield. With Paul Pogba still out with an injury, McTominay will start beside Fred.

Marcus Rashford picked up an injury against Man City which forced him to miss the Milan game and according to Ole, he might not be ready for the West Ham United encounter as well.

And this is a huge headache for the manager since Anthony Martial picked up a knock in midweek and he too is ruled out.

Edinson Cavani is also on the sidelines and the South American, like Rashford is likely to watch from the sidelines at Old Trafford on Sunday.

This is a massive issue for the Man United boss and with all three of his first-choice attackers potentially out injured, Solskjaer might have to hand Amad Diallo a start on the right wing.

Thankfully, Dan James and Mason Greenwood are fit and will start as the other forward players against West Ham United.
