Man United travel to London on Friday to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League and the Red Devils will miss two players for this match.

The unexpected lockdown has really helped all the players get back to full fitness and players like Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are once again ready to feature in the starting XI.

But speaking to the press before the Spurs vs Man United game, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Axel Tuanzebe and Phil Jones are set to miss this high-profile encounter.

The manager said, as per the club’s official website: “We have two players probably, Phil Jones and Axel will miss this game and the start and let’s see how bad they are, but apart from that the rest of the squad is fit, available.

“Marcus and Paul they have been out for a long, long period, but they are available, so how long they are going to play for, let’s see.”

Both the defenders have hardly played for Man United during the 2019-20 season so their absence should not be a major dilemma for the Norwegian boss.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof will hopefully play as the first-choice centre-backs vs the Lilywhites while Eric Bailly will start on the bench.

Ole should not have any major issues naming his first XI on Friday but it will be interesting to see who the manager lays his trust on, now that he has a fully fit squad at his disposal.

The team selection for the next few matches will give us a clear idea as to which players will remain at Man United next season and which ones will be sold during the upcoming summer transfer window.
