Manchester United take on Everton in the Premier League on Sunday and after an impressive performance against Chelsea last weekend, the fans will be hoping nothing less than three points.

The Red Devils narrowly missed a victory at Stamford Bridge last weekend but Jose Mourinho and the fans were happy with the effort that the team had put in during the second half of the game.

But now with Everton, visiting Old Trafford on Sunday Jose Mourinho might have some serious injury concerns before the game.

Man United team news vs Everton:

The major concern for Jose Mourinho will be the absence of Alexis Sanchez who was not present in the matchday squad which took on Juventus on Tuesday.

The manager has made it clear that the January signing will not feature against Everton as he is yet to recover from his groin injury.

“He came to Chelsea to help the team. But, his physical condition was not good and then he had to stop. He was not available for Juventus and he is not available for tomorrow again.”

This means that Jose Mourinho will have to start with both Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford on both wings.

Jose Mourinho did not make a single substitution during the United’s Champions League loss against Juve and it immediately raised a number of eyebrows.

After the match, the manager claimed that he did not have the required players who could have made an impact off the bench.

The manager pointed to the absence of Marouane Fellaini who is currently sidelined with a groin injury.

Fellaini is recovering well as per reports from the club but his appearance against his former club still remains a major doubt.

“He’s got an important game at the weekend and this wasn’t the game to use players who weren’t 100 per cent. We expect he should be fine in the next couple of days.”

Antonio Valencia is recovering from a surgery and the Ecuadorian will go through a late fitness test in order to determine if he is available for Sunday’s game.

Jesse Lingard too is suffering from a groin injury and much like Antonio Valencia he too will go through a late fitness test.
