Tottenham Hotspur take on Manchester City on Monday in the Premier League and Mauricio Pochettino will want nothing less than three points from this game.

Spurs are just two points behind league leaders Manchester City meaning if they can beat Pep Guardiola’s men on Monday then the could move to the top of the table.

That though will be easier said than done given Mauricio Pochettinho could miss a number of key players during the Spurs vs Man City clash.

Spurs vs Man City: Spurs team news

Danny Rose remains a major doubt for the Spurs vs Man City clash on Monday as the left-back is yet to recover from a groin strain.

“Rose is the same [as Alli]. One week more.”

The absence of Danny Rose means that Ben Davies will once again get an unchallenged role in the left-back position on Monday.

Midfielder Dele Alli is another player who could miss the Spurs vs Man City game as the manager has made it clear that the English International will remain out of action for 10 more days.

“It’s still maybe 10 days more…”

Centre-back Jan Vertonghen remains a long-term absentee and will only be back in training in December.

“Will now continue his recovery with a view to returning to full training by December.”

Manchester City are in the form of their life meaning it would matter very little that they will be playing away from home. So the onus will be on Tottenham Hotspur to come out of the game with three points.

UPDATE:

Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Dele Alli has returned to training and will be available for selection on Monday.

But it remains to be seen whether Mauricio Pochettinho will throw the midfielder straight into the starting XI.
