Manchester United fans will definitely not be happy with this bit of news.

According to a report in Spain, it looks as if United’s biggest summer transfer target – Antoine Griezmann has agreed in principle to join Barcelona next summer. Manchester United had gone agonisingly close to signing the French International this summer but the deal collapsed due to a transfer ban being imposed on Atletico Madrid. Griezmann chose to stay back in Spain and help out his club for the current season.

But a move to United was always thought to be on the cards as soon as this season came to an end. Now though as per the report in Le 10 Sport, Griezmann has decided to snub Manchester United and join Spanish rivals Barcelona. It is being said that the Catalan giants have been in contact with him for the past couple of weeks and they have successfully persuaded him to join Barcelona.

When the deal with United collapsed, Griezmann went on to sign a new deal with Atletico Madrid but a move to England was always on the cards. But now it seems as if the 26-year-old has decided that his long-term future sprawls in Spain. The deal is said to be agreed in principle though it is highly unlikely that he will make the transit this January.
