Manchester United might be falling giants on the pitch but off it, the Old Trafford outfit are still a force to reckon with.

The club recently announced record revenues of £627.1million for the last financial year which just goes on to show that Man United as a brand shows no signs of slowing down.

And speaking after the announcements, executive vice-chairman Woodward sent out a message saying that the club are focused on winning trophies and they have plans on rebuilding the squad.

Woodward said(as quoted): “We remain focused on our plan of rebuilding the team and continuing to strengthen our youth system, in line with the philosophy of the club and the manager.

“This is reflected in the recent addition of three exciting first-team players, key player contract extensions and the talent we have coming through our academy.

“Everyone at Manchester United is committed to delivering on our primary objective of winning trophies.”

Verdict:

Solskajer has worked hard to rebuild their defence this summer by bringing in the likes of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka and next up the Norwegian needs to sort out the midfield and the attacking areas.

Manchester United have let Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez leave this summer and the fact that the manager did not bring in replacements could seriously hurt his plans for the current season.

There have been whispers that the Manchester United manager are already looking into possibilities about showing Solskjaer the exit door.

While these are just initial rumours but the buzz around Europe seems strong that if the Norwegian is sacked midway through the season then Max Allegri could be brought in as a long-term manager.

Next up Manchester United take on Rochdale in the League Cup and following which they shift their focus to the clash vs Arsenal next week.
