Liverpool won the Champions League last weekend beating Spurs but from Jurgen Klopp to every first-team player has made it clear that they must look forward to the next campaign.

And immediately after the final, the Reds are being linked with a host of players for the summer transfer window.

The latest name on the list is West Ham United’s Manuel Lanzini.

This is now the first time that Liverpool have been linked with the Argentine international since last season, Klopp tried to sign him after the Reds failed to bring in Nabil Fekir.

And that deal might have gone through is Manuel Lanzini had not suffered that horrible injury while on international duty for the World Cup.

The injury kept the midfielder out of action for most of the 2018-19 season and he returned to action only for the last quarter of the season.

During the last season, the Argentine made only 10 appearances in the Premier League but he did manage to clock up one goal and two assists during his time on the pitch.

Liverpool already have a host of midfielders at their disposal which means theoretically they do not need Manuel Lanzini. But having said that, a player of his quality will be welcome into any squad.

Jurgen Klopp has more or less settled in on his midfield trio especially after Naby Keita beginning to find form during the latter stages of the season but the manager will surely look to add some competition during the summer.

Fenerbahce are also interested in signing the 26-year-old which is why West Ham United are reportedly planning to offer him a new five-year deal at the London Stadium.

Manuel Lanzini currently has one year left on his current deal and amidst interest from the likes of Liverpool and Fenerbahce, Pellegrini is not too keen to take any risks.
