As per reports, Chelsea and Real Madrid have agreed on a transfer fee for Eden Hazard meaning the Belgian international is on his way to the La Liga this summer.

But it looks like, Hazard isn’t the only player who might be heading to Spain.

As per the latest rumours, Atletico Madrid have shown interest in signing Marcos Alonso and will be making a move for him during the coming few weeks.

Marcos Alonso joined Chelsea in 2016 but this season he has gone into the bad books of the Chelsea fans after a string of poor performances.

The left-back managed to feature in 31 Premier League games for the Blues this past season but during the second half of the game, Sarri put his faith on Emerson clearly suggesting that Marcos Alonso’s days at Chelsea were numbered.

Emerson is the natural replacement for Alonso and next season it is more or less certain that the 28-year-old will be falling down the pecking order if he chooses to stay back at Stamford Bridge.

Atletico Madrid are keen to bring in defensive reinforcements this summer and Alonso’s current situation at Chelsea might make him a very easy transfer for the La Liga side.

On paper, Chelsea should not have any problems letting Marcos Alonso leave but some reports have suggested that Maurizio Sarri is keen to take Emerson will him if he moves out of Chelsea this summer.

And if the 24-year-old does follow the Italian out of the club then surely Marcos Alonso will once again be an important part of the squad.

So we believe, the Blues will wait until the whole Sarri and Emerson situation is sorted before making any final decision on the future of Alonso.

This means that Atletico Madrid might have to wait until the very end of the transfer window in order to secure a move for the left-back.
