Aaron Ramsdale to replace Jordan Pickford

England are set to play their first World Cup semi-final since 1990 and the Three Lions are hoping to end their decades-old trophy drought.

But Gareth Southgate’s side will have it anything but easy on Wednesday as Croatia themselves have been clinical up until this stage.

The Three Lions main concern during the game will be to stop Luka Modric from dictating terms. Do that and half the battle is won – well that’s what most people are thinking.

But Croatia have a host of other players who can seriously hurt England – one of them is forward Mario Mandzukic.

And before both the teams go head to head on Wednesday, the Juventus forward has a message for one particular England star.

Mario Mandzukic showered praises on England keeper Jordan Pickford but along with that the 32-year-old also sent out a cheeky little warning to the shot-stopper.

Mandzukic said“We’ve seen that he [Pickford] is doing very well at the World Cup,

“He has good potential and I’m sure he has a bright future. [But] I believe someone will find a way to surprise him.”

Jordan Pickford has without a doubt been one of the mantlepiece ornaments for Gareth Southgate but the Everton keeper will have to be on his toes against the Vatreni.

Gareth Southgate is expected to name an unchanged side for Wednesday but the manager will have to give an extra pep talk to his three-man defensive line.
