West Ham United have made a terrible start to the new season having lost each of their opening three games in the Premier League.

The Hammers have lost to big heavyweight likes Arsenal and Liverpool and also to minnows such as AFC Bournemouth. And Manuel Pellegrini only managed to pick up his first competitive win as the West Ham boss this week in the Carabao Cup.

And now the London outfit play host to Wolves this weekend and Pellegrini has already outlined this game as a must win if they wish to avoid a catastrophe similar to the previous season.

But one of the biggest concerns for the manager going into this weekend’s game was the knee injury that Marko Arnautovic picked up during last weekend’s clash against Arsenal.

There was a big doubt if the forward would be able to play against Wolves but Manuel Pellegrini has now come to say that Arnautovic has recovered well and should be ready to face Nuno Santo’s side.

Pellegrini said“Marko had a small problem behind his knee in the last game,

“He was not comfortable and not able to play those last few minutes. But he’s had an examination with the doctor and he’s worked this week with us.

“Marko is a strong man and he wants to recover as soon as he can, and he did. Since Tuesday, he’s been working.

“There are small things. Marko is strong. He has to challenge every ball. Maybe he’s had some kicks or other things that affect him. But he’s a strong man and he wants to recover as soon as he can, and he did.

“He doesn’t have any problems. Since Tuesday, he’s been working.

“For the moment, we have no problem.”

Marko Arnautovic’s fitness is undoubtedly a huge boost for West Ham United more so when they face a Wolves side who are beaming with confidence after their 1-1 draw against Manchester City.
