West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic is currently one confused man.

Just last week it was being suggested that the player could leave the London Stadium after the Hammers had received a bid from a Chinese Super League club.

But then it was being suggested that the transfer talks had collapsed and Marko Arnautovic would be staying in England until the end of the season.

Now again there seems to have been a late development and Claret and Hugh are reporting that the Marko Arnautovic saga might not have ended.

“We would expect some sort of activity but we are resolute in our decision not to let him go for anything less than €50 million,” a source told Claret and Hugh.

“We don’t want a late bid. We want him to stay here and then see what happens in the summer.”

As per the Claret and Hugh, the interest from the Chinese club has not faded off completely and the Hammers are expected one more bid for their forward.

In this turmoil, West Ham United will take on AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup on Saturday and many fans are wondering whether Pellegrini would name Marko Arnautovic in the matchday squad.

“On Friday, we will see the names of the players in the squad list,” the manager said.

“Marko is working with us without any problems. It is impossible for me to know the future.

“Is it a distraction? As a manager, I am worried about many different issues in my squad. Things happen in football and we know we must try to resolve this as soon as we can.

“I am speaking with all of the players every day, so I know what they want.”

But the manager is expected to make a number of changes to his first XI so the probability of Marko Arnautovic playing at Kingsmeadow is really slim anyway.
