West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic was tipped to move out of the London Stadium this month.

The Austrian international’s agent had stated that he wanted to leave the club – this after the Hammers had received a huge bid for him from a Chinese club.

“West Ham bought Marko for peanuts,” read a statement released by Danijel Arnautovic to talkSPORT.

“They paid £20million for him, which is nothing in the current market.

“They bought him to keep them in the Premier League last season and he did that. He took every award at the club; best player, signing of the season and the players’ award.

“Now West Ham have a fantastic offer. It is close to double what they paid for him.

“He wants to go to a new market and challenge for titles. This is what he wants.

“It is his great desire that West Ham accept the offer from China.”

An undisclosed Chinese Super League club reportedly wanted the services of the player and in return, they will ready to offer upwards of 45 million pounds to West Ham United.

And immediately there were reports that the Hammers were thinking of letting Marko Arnautovic leave the club.

The forward came off during the win vs Arsenal to a rousing reception which many felt was going to be the last game for him at the London Stadium.

And then when he was left out of the Hammers squad for the game against AFC Bournemouth this weekend, everyone was sure that Marko Arnautovic’s move to China was only a matter of time.

But now reports are claiming that Marko Arnautovic is no longer leaving the club this month since the Chinese club have backed out of the deal.

talkSPORT have now revealed that Marko Arnautovic will be staying at the club.

“Arnautovic now looks set to stay at the London Stadium after the club in China decided to drop their interest having initially indicated they were prepared to offer around £45million to secure his signature,” talkSPORT said.

Manuel Pellegrini will be very happy that his premier hitman will remain at the club until the end of the season but the manager will also have the huge task of getting Marko Arnautovic’s focus back.
