West Ham United travel to St James’ Park this weekend as they take on Newcastle United in the Premier League.

And the million dollar question that the Hammers fans are asking is whether Marko Arnautovic is fit to play the game.

Arnautovic picked a hip injury during West Ham’s 4-0 loss to Manchester City last week and since then reports have suggested that the forward might not be able to play against Rafa Benitez’s men.

Now though fresh reports are suggesting the 29-year-old has returned back to full training and will likely start on Saturday.

Marko Arnautovic has been linked with a move to Manchester United during the January transfer window but right now he is fully focused at getting the Hammers back into the top half of the league table.

Talking about the 29-year-old availability, Manuel Pellegrini said: “Marko has trained all week with no problems,”

Apart from Marko Arnautovic, Andy Carroll took has trained with the first team squad after being sidelined with an injury for a good 10 weeks.

But if Arnautovic is fully fit then Andy Carroll will only have to be satisfied with a substitute’s role.

Jack Wilshere too is available for selection after recovering from his ankle injury but like Carroll, he might also come in as a second-half substitute.

Both Newcastle and West Ham are tied on 12 points and a loss for either side would push them closer to that dreaded relegation zone.
