After Barcelona, it looks like Ligue 1 giants PSG are now interested in signing Arsenal outcast Matteo Guendouzi this summer, as per Football London.

The report claims: “Paris Saint-Germain are considering entering the race for Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi.

“PSG are the latest name to emerge and have kept a close eye on Guendouzi ever since he left their academy in 2014 to join Lorient and considered making their move before he joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018.

“The French champions are far from alone in pursuing Guendouzi with Barcelona also interested in a deal. Former Arsenal head coach Unai Emery has also identified the midfielder as a target for his new club Villarreal whilst Juventus are reportedly keen.”

Will Matteo Guendouzi head to PSG?

It’s no secret that Mikel Arteta is eager to get Matteo Guendouzi off his books before the new season begins and it looks like the youngster has no shortage of takers.

With Thomas Partey likely to come in, Arsenal would need money to fund this transfer and if PSG are interested in Geundouzi then the Premier League side can get a hefty transfer fee for the Frenchman.

Guendouzi still has two years left on his current contract but we do not think the Gunners can demand an astronomical fee for the 21-year-old since it’s like an open secret that the player will no longer be needed at the Emirates next campaign.

Arsenal are hoping to earn around £40million for the France Under-21 international but we will have to wait and see if PSG are willing to spend that much on a midfielder who has started in just 12 Premier League games during the 2019-20 season.
