Juventus have sacked Maurizio Sarri as their manager and appointed Pirlo as their new boss. And just days after this decision, it looks like the Old Lady are no longer interested in signing Jorginho from Premier League side Chelsea.

The Daily Mail claim: “Juventus have switched their attention from Chelsea midfielder Jorginho to Brescia wonderkid Sandro Tonali due to the sacking of Maurizio Sarri, according to reports in Italy.

“Sarri brought Jorginho from Napoli to Chelsea during his season in charge in west London and was again reported to be keen on a reunion, this time in Turin, come the summer transfer window.

“According to Tuttosport, there is now no interest in signing Jorginho and Andrea Pirlo, successor to Sarri, instead wants the Italian champions to make a push to sign Tonali.”

It was Sarri who desperately wanted to bring Jorginho to Juventus but now with him gone, the Turin outfit no longer want to make a move for the midfielder.

This will be great news for Frank Lampard since Jorginho has grown into an influential figure at the heart of the Chelsea midfield over the course of the 2019-20 season.

The 28-year-old has made the defensive midfielder’s role his own having made 31 Premier League appearances for the Blues last campaign.

Also now with Jorginho presumably remaining at Stamford Bridge, Lampard might look to part ways with N’Golo Kante since the Frenchman has seen a massive dip in form, primarily due to an injury-hit season.

Chelsea are looking to bring in Kai Havertz by the end of this month meaning the Blues will surely have to sell a few midfielders in order to make space in the locker room.
