Tottenham Hotspur will take on West Ham United in the Premier League this weekend before that Mauricio Pochettino had an intense meeting with Daniel Levy.

While many people have come up with various assumptions regarding the meeting with many claiming that the South American had gone to Levy in order to tell him about his wishes of leaving the club.

But now ESPN have explained why the two met with the media outlet stating that Mauricio Pochettino had gone to the Spurs head to tell him about his displeasures over the lack of new players during the summer transfer window.

ESPN reports: “Mauricio Pochettino has held talks with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy to discuss his increasing frustrations at the state of the squad, sources have told ESPN FC.

“Sources have told ESPN FC, however, that Pochettino believes the club are now paying the price for a failure to reshape his squad during the summer and his discussions with Levy during the international break focused on his grievances.”

The report also hints at a possible rift inside the dressing room indicating that a few players are not happy with how Mauricio Pochettino has been conducting himself.

“Sources have told ESPN FC that a number of senior players have become frustrated by Pochettino’s discontent and the manager’s negative comments in the media at times this season.

“Pochettino also raised eyebrows within the dressing room when he said during preseason that he would have quit Spurs had they beaten Liverpool in the Champions League final.”

Right now Spurs are a club in turmoil but things could start looking brighter if they manage to beat West Ham United this upcoming weekend.

The Hammers just like Spurs have been going through a really rocky phase and there have also been fears that the hierarchy might choose to part ways with Manuel Pellegrini.

While such fear is yet to reach the shores of White Hart Lane but if the club fails to keep their Champions League status then surely Daniel Levy will start looking for other options.

Update:

The reports, as well as ourselves, might have gotten things all wrong as manager Mauricio Pochettino has been sacked by Tottenham Hotspur with immediate effect.

Now we atleast know that the meeting between Poch and Levy did not go too well.

More updates to follow.
